Ali Martín Filsoof is a Los Angeles based associate design director working at Phenomenon on such clients as St. Jane, Hensely, P&G, FWRD by Elyse Walker, and Wonder. He specializes in the fashion, luxury, sports, and tech categories. He works closely with cross-functional teams of strategists, experience innovators and writers to execute integrated design work for clients across the globe.
Prior to joining Phenomenon, Ali was an associate creative director at Boston based Toth + Co, where he oversaw creative for Belk department stores and Soma Intimates. He also created campaigns for a variety of iconic brands including Michael Kors, Speedo, and ASICS at ViTRO in San Diego. Before that, he worked at Foote, Cone & Belding in San Francisco and in-house at Warnaco in Los Angeles. In the design community, Ali serves as an active member of the AIGA and manages the fashion photography blog Calikartel, which has a large industry following. He has also taught introductory design at the Art Institute of California.
Ali has been recognized throughout his career for creative excellence. His work has been published by the Clio Awards, Graphis, AIGA, Ad Age, and Adweek. His work was also exhibited internationally in São Paulo Brasil, at the Friends of Icograda exhibit. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with a concentration in graphic design from San Diego State University. Beyond advertising, Ali is curious about design, art, architecture, photography, and music as well as traveling the world.
